It's Okay To Ask For Freebies, Invitation Edition

While you shouldn't expect everything to be free on your wedding day, as someone who is spending money with vendors, you need to know that it's okay to ask for freebies and samples.

The first stop on the freebie train that I tell every bride/groom to make is for invitation samples. Shop around for your invitations! Even if you think you're going to produce your own invitations, get the samples, you never know what great ideas you'll get!

Free invitation samples:
Exclusively Weddings
123 Print
Wedding Paper Divas
Minted
Ann's Bridal Bargains
Invitations By Davids Bridal
Hello Lucky
Invitations By Dawn
Invitations, Bed Bath and Beyond
Magnet Street

When requesting your samples, go a little out of the box! Select a few you normally might not; you never know what you will and won't like once its in your hand.

Keep your budget in mind when selecting the samples. On all the sites listed above, you are requesting the sample form the same page you would order the invitations from. Select samples from invites in your budget. Don't be heart broken after falling in love with an invite you can't afford to order or recreate.

Don't abuse the system!! Probably from a business perspective, the most important rule to me. Don't order a set a freebies then a second set sent to the neighbors address. Many businesses have stopped giving freebies because too many people took advantage.

Enjoy the process of selecting your invitations. Make them reflect the two of you and your love. Have fun and make memories!!
